Gunman In Double Homicide At Long Island Home Gets Decades In Prison
A man who confessed to shooting and killing two men at a Long Island home will spend decades behind bars. Brian Cordovano, age 50, of Ronkonkoma, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Nov. 20, after pleading guilty in the deaths of Ian Saalfield and Robert Julian. Suffolk County Man Charged With DWI After Crash Seriously Injures Passenger
A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a crash left his passenger seriously injured on Long Island. Francisco Fernandesdosreis, of Farmingville, was driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee northbound when the vehicle struck two parked cars and overturned in front of 111 College Road in Selden around 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to Suffolk County Police. Seen Her? Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl
Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Anastasia McKain, age 15, of Selden, was last seen on Monday, Oct. 28, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. McKain was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, and black Crocs. Police believe she is in the local area. Man Admits To Double-Fatal Shooting At Long Island Residence
A Long Island man is facing decades in prison after admitting to fatally shooting two people inside a home. Brian Cordovano, age 50, of Ronkonkoma and formerly of Bay Shore, was arrested following a traffic stop in Smithtown, on Columbus Avenue, just before noontime on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. On Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at around 10:45 p.m. in Selden at 55 Hollywood Ave., Ian Saalfield, age 45, of Lake Grove, who had been reported missing by his wife nearly two weeks earlier, and the homeowner, Robert Julian, age 58, were found shot to death, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Wearing Surgical Mask At Large After Bank Robbery At Long Island Chase Branch
A female suspect is at large after a bank robbery on Long Island. It happened just after 4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 in Selden. According to Suffolk County Police, a white woman wearing a surgical mask entered Chase Bank at 999 Middle Country Road and presented the teller with a note demanding money. The teller complied, and the suspect fled on foot with cash. Fatal Chain-Reaction Crash: 23-Year-Old From Selden ID'd As Victim In Mount Sinai
A 23-year-old was killed in a chain-reaction, wrong-way crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in Mount Sinai. The victim was driving a black 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle in the wrong direction on southbound Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road, when he collided with a 2022 Honda CR-V at the intersection of Canal Road. A man lost a finger in a Fourth of July fireworks mishap at a Long Island home that also injured three others, including a child. The incident happened at a Port Jefferson Station home on Foxrun Court at around 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4. In response to numerous community complaints, authorities conducted an investigation into Jixiang Spa in Selden, located at 721 Middle Country Road, on Wednesday afternoon, June 12. A convicted drug trafficker from Long Island will spend decades in prison for selling fentanyl that caused a man’s fatal overdose on Christmas Day. Marlon Thompson, age 42, of Selden, was sentenced to 30 years behind bars in Central Islip federal court on Tuesday, May 21. It followed his December 2022 jury conviction on four counts including conspiracy to distribute cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, and being a felon in possession of firearms.
