Thunderstorms Could Be Moving Into Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sunny skies will give way to clouds later in the day in Putnam County on Wednesday before rain, fog and a possible thunderstorm move into the area on Thursday.

A slight warming trend will continue on Wednesday with a high temperature around 42 degrees. Expect clouds and rain to start moving into the area after 5 p.m. 

Rain will continue throughout most of the day on Thursday. Areas of fog will burn off before noon with possible thunderstorms in the early afternoon and evening. Up to an inch of rainfall is possible. High temperatures will be around 50 degrees. 

Showers and thunderstorms could linger in the early morning Friday. Expect cloudy skies throughout most of the day with a high temperature of 45.

Sun will return for the weekend with temperatures in the low-to-mid 40s.
