Temperatures well below freezing have resulted in the redevelopment of areas of black ice, as any melted snow and slush refreeze Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
These conditions should persist into the Tuesday morning commute, the weather service warns, advising residents to take extra caution when out driving and walking.
Tuesday's high will be in the mid-30s with a chance of snow after 3 p.m., and a chance of rain mixing with snow until around 9 p.m.
There is a chance of rain before 10 a.m. Wednesday, then a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. during a day with a mix of clouds and sun and a high soaring to 50 degrees.
Thursday's high should also reach the 50-degree mark with a chance of rain starting in the afternoon.
