Roadwork Alert: Closure Planned For Busy Ramp On I-84

Motorists traveling in East Fishkill on Interstate 84 should be warned that a closure is scheduled on Tuesday, June 25 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

During this time, an exit ramp closure is required on Interstate 84 eastbound at Exit 16N (Taconic State Parkway northbound) while road crews perform maintenance, weather permitting.

Drivers are asked to follow the posted detour and expect possible delays. Use caution when driving through the work zone area and pay particular attention to traffic control devices like signs and flaggers.

Motorists are also reminded that fines for speeding in a work zone are doubled. Two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a driver’s license in accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005.
