A 24-year-old Westchester man was allegedly nabbed with numerous ghost guns during an inter-agency investigation. The incident took place in New Rochelle around 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28. According to Capt. Collins Coyne, of the New Rochelle Police, New Rochelle Police detectives, assisted by detectives from the Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant for ghost guns on a New Rochelle home. Police Investigating Separate Shootings Hours Apart In Westchester
Police in Westchester are currently investigating two shooting incidents that occurred just hours apart. The incidents began in Mount Vernon around 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the area of 215 Union Ave. Mount Vernon Police responded to the area on a report of shots fired and a man down, said Tim Allen, spokesman for the Mount Vernon Police. Four people attending a vigil in Westchester were shot, leaving one in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head. The incident took place in Mount Vernon around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 333 South 8th Ave. According to city officials, the police department responded to the area of 333 South 8th Avenue on a report of multiple people shot. Three 20-something men have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Westchester County delivery driver. The incident took place in New Rochelle around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 16 Cliff St. When officers responded to a report of an armed robbery they located a food delivery driver who told police he was accosted by two male blacks both armed with handguns, who took more than $50 and jewelry from him, said Capt. Police identified the origin Monday of a Twitter threat the led to the closure of The Harvey School in Katonah on Friday. "The investigation revealed the threat originated from an out-of-state source although a suspect has not been identified at this time," Bedford Police Lt. Vincent Gruppuso said.
