Some Police Services To Be Cut By Village In Hudson Valley Residents of a village in the region were informed of a police service cut only two days before it took effect. The change is taking place in Dutchess County. Man, Woman Struck While In Crosswalk In Area, Police Say State Police are investigating after a man and woman were struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy roadway in the area. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Village of Wappingers Falls while the two were crossing in a crosswalk on West Main Street at the intersection with West Street, said Wappingers Falls Police Lt.
