Orange County resident Joseph Lightfoot, of Wallkill, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon in Orange County Court on Tuesday, May 14, stemming from a shooting that occurred in the Village of Walden on Thursday, April 25. Suspect Nabbed For String Of Burglaries In Hudson Valley Following a month-long investigation, a Hudson Valley man has been arrested for burglary and a host of other charges. Leonard L. Taylor, age 66, of Middletown, was arrested on Monday. Oct. 3, by the Village of Walden Police after a brief foot chase in the village. Second Man Admits To Role In Gunpoint Area Robbery A second man has pleaded guilty to the gunpoint robbery of a 67-year-old man who was locked in the trunk of his vehicle in the area. Orange County resident Justin White, 30, of Port Jervis, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Jan. 23, robbery in connection with the August 2018 crime, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. White had previously pleaded guilty to rape for having sex with an underage girl, the DA's Office said. He faces up to 17 years in prison when he is sentenced in March. Newburgh Man Diverted $43K In Funds From Employer To His Own Account, Police Say A Newburgh man is facing charges after police say he diverted $43,000 in employer funds to his personal bank account. New York State Police say that an investigation by the BCI at Montgomery determined that Christopher Dunn, 32, of Newburgh allegedly diverted funds from his employer into his own account and tried to pay his employer with checks that had insufficient funds.
