Vehicle Stolen From Hudson Valley Residence, Then Used To Commit Larcenies
Authorities in the Hudson Valley are warning residents to take precautions following multiple incidents of items taken from vehicles, as well as one instance of a car stolen from a residence and used to commit thefts. The incidents, which all happened in Putnam County, were detailed in an announcement on Tuesday, June 18 from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, which said it has received numerous reports of items taken from unlocked vehicles throughout the county in the last few weeks. Man Ramming Vehicles In Stolen Car Nabbed After Crash, Police Say
A 32-year-old man was charged with numerous crimes after allegedly stealing a Dodge Charger during a burglary in the area and ramming numerous vehicles including police cruisers. Malachi Hunter, a former New Jersey resident, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 9, in Dutchess County after crashing head-on into a City of Poughkeepsie police car. The incident with Hunter began when police received a 911 call regarding an erratic driver attempting to run over people in the area of 52 Gifford Ave., said Detective Lt. High-Speed Chase, Crash Injures Officer, Shuts Down Route 9A In Westchester

A high-speed police chase that ended with a crash has closed a major Westchester County roadway in two towns and injured a police officer, according to the Westchester County Police.
