Man Walking In Roadway Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV A Fairfield County man was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking in a busy roadway. John Ponseigo, 62, of Danbury, was hit by a 2018 Honda CR-V driven by James McClure, 72, of Bethel, around 3:43 p.m. in the area of West Wooster and Pleasant streets, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. A preliminary investigation indicates that McClure, was traveling westbound on West Wooster Street when his vehicle struck Ponseigo who was walking in the roadway, Williams said.
