Cell Phone, Internet Service Interruptions Expected In This Hudson Valley Town: Here's When A series of scheduled network updates may cause some cell phone and internet service interruptions in a Hudson Valley town, police announced.  As a result of planned upgrades to the Verizon network in Putnam County near Kent Lakes, Verizon customers in the Kent area may experience service interruptions in the next week, the Town of Kent Police Department announced on Thursday, March 7.  According to an alert from Verizon, in some cases, the work may last as long as two weeks. Putnam Sheriff Reports On Number Of Gun, Drug Arrests For November Hard work on behalf of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office the county has ended with fewer drugs and guns on the streets. According to Putnam  County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr., during the month of November, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit made a total of nine arrests. The arrests include:  Four arrests for possession of heroin.  Four arrests resulted in the seizure of 500 Xanax tablets and concentrated cannabis.
