Cuomo Says He'll Defer Scheduled Pay Raise Amid NY's $63B Budget Deficit
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he'll defer a scheduled pay bump in 2021 amid the state's massive budget deficit. Cuomo was due to receive the $25,000 pay raise in January, bringing his total annual compensation to $250,000, the highest salary for a governor in the country. Croton-On-Hudson Fire Department Under Investigation, Report Says
The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department is under criminal investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, according to a report by LoHud. Specifics of the probe have not been released. The State of New York, Westchester County District attorney’s office and the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department are collaborating on a joint investigation, a spokesman for state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli told LoHud in this Tax Watch report.
