Median Closure Scheduled On Taconic State Parkway
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a median closure on the Taconic State Parkway. The Department says a median closure is scheduled for the Taconic State Parkway eastbound and westbound at Pudding Street in the Putnam County town of Putnam Valley. The closure will begin Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. and continue until further notice while crews perform maintenance work, weather permitting. State Trooper Narrowly Escapes Injury After Patrol Car Gets Hit On Taconic Parkway
A New York State trooper narrowly escaped injury after his patrol car was rear-ended while he was assisting another driver. The crash took place around 7:29 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, on the Taconic State Parkway in LaGrange, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. The trooper was outside of his vehicle assisting a driver who had been involved in another crash and was not injured. The driver was ticketed for failing to obey the Move Over law and for excessive speed, he added. No serious injuries were reported in either crash.

Lane Closures Scheduled On I-84
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a single-lane closure on Interstate 84. The Department says a single-lane closure is scheduled for Interstate 84 westbound between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 B/A (Taconic State Parkway) in the Dutchess County town of East Fishkill and the Putnam County town of Kent. The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a single-lane closure on the Taconic State Parkway that will last more than a month. The Department says a single-lane closure is scheduled for the Taconic State Parkway southbound between Exit 44 (Bulls Head Road) and Exit 43 (Route 82) in the Dutchess County towns of LaGrange, Pleasant Valley, Clinton and Stanford. I-84 Lane Reopens After Disabled Tractor-Trailer Incident
The left lane on a stretch of I-84 has reopened after a disabled tractor-trailer was removed from the highway. The incident happened in East Fishkill at milepost marker 57, between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 (the Taconic State Parkway) just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Traffic was reported to be backed up three to four miles. The tractor-trailer was removed just after 5 p.m. There are residual delays in the area.

The crash happened on Wednesday, Oct. 30 just before dawn westbound in East Fishkill between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 (the Taconic State Parkway). The left lane reopened around 10 a.m. The right lane reopened at around 2:30 p.m. A detour had been established at the Stormville rest area. There will be lane closures on I-84 for an extended period of time Dutchess and Putnam counties. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that there will be single-lane closures on the interstate westbound between exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and exit 52 B/A (Taconic State Parkway) beginning on Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Towns of East Fishkill and Kent.
