Hudson Valley Teen Killed In Crash Remembered For His Love Of Fishing, 'Being On The Move'
A 17-year-old Hudson Valley student killed in a crash that also injured three others, one critically, is being remembered for his love of life.

Daniel "Dan" George Noakes, age 17, of Hyde Park, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie following a single-vehicle crash in which he was the driver.
A Poughkeepsie native, Noakes was the son of Glenn A. and Nicole Liegey Noakes. His father lives in Poughkeepsie, and his mother and sister, Annie, in Hyde Park.

Administrative Assistant In Hudson Valley Dies Suddenly At Age 31
A Hudson Valley resident who worked as an administrative assistant died unexpectedly at the age of 31.
Dutchess County resident Ashley Marie Fortier-Curtis, of Hyde Park, died at home on Thursday, June 23, according to her obituary.
Fortier-Curtis was born in Poughkeepsie and worked for Bottini Fuel as an administrative assistant/dispatcher, her obituary said.
Before her position at Bottini Fuel, she worked in home health care.
She is survived by her mother, Corinna Fortier, her step-father, Warren Qualls, and her brother, William Qualls, her obituary said.

Dean's List College Student From Hudson Valley Found Dead In Dorm Room
A college student from the Hudson Valley has died at age 20.
Dutchess County resident Cory Gallinger, of Salt Point, a junior at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, was found unresponsive in his dorm room on Sunday, March 21, according to college officials.
The cause of death has not been released.
On Monday, March 22, a vigil was held outside a chapel on campus, with approximately 1,000 attending, according to Syracuse.com. A video of the vigil, posted on YouTube by Le Moyne College, is available here.

Bryan Dengler Of Poughkeepsie, Accomplished Golfer, Dies At 36
Bryan F. Dengler of Poughkeepsie died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, Jan. 31. He was 36.
Born on June 20, 1981 in Rhinebeck, he was the son of Renee’ L. Lutz of Staatsburg.
Bryan had many interests. He was an accomplished artist (particularly oil painting), and he enjoyed writing poetry, carpentry, and he loved to cook.
A phenomenal golfer, Bryan was proud to have once made a hole-in-one at College Hill.
