New York State Police troopers will be working alongside local law enforcement agencies to initiate increased enforcement efforts in advance of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Drivers should expect more sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols and details for underage drinking and sales to minors between Friday, March 15 and Monday, March 18. DWI Patrols Will Be Ramped Up In Putnam Over Holiday Weekend, Sheriff Says
With Memorial Day Weekend and the unofficial start of the summer driving season here, local and county police in Putnam County are teaming up in an effort to curtail impaired drivers in the region. Beginning on Friday, May 25, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Carmel Police Department and Kent Police Department will be participating in a special enforcement detail targeting drunk or impaired drivers. DWI Crackdown Nets Dozens Of Arrests In Dutchess
DUTCHES COUNTY, N.Y. - More than 70 people were arrested during the holiday season as police in Dutchess County cracked down on impaired driving.
