Meeting Explains New Electric School Buses Coming To Hudson Valley School District
Residents will have a chance to ask questions during an upcoming meeting when they will be asked to approve spending $2.27 million on electric school buses in a school district in the region. The meeting is in Dutchess County from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School at 156 S Cross Road in Staatsburg. 19: State Orders Schools To Cancel Spring Recess, Continue Remote Learning
School districts in New York have been instructed to forego traditional spring recess and continue distance learning as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to plague the state. With schools statewide shut down through at least Wednesday, April 15 due to the virus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order requiring that remote teaching continues to that date. 8-Year-Old Filing Error Could Cost Mahopac Schools Millions Of Dollars
A filing error dating back nearly a decade could reportedly cost the Mahopac School District millions of dollars in aid if lawmakers don’t pass special legislation to avoid the penalties. A cost report for a capital project during the 2011-2012 academic year was never submitted to the state, which could cost the district $4 million in the long run, according to an Examiner report.
