Woman Rescued After Falling Between Train, Platform At Station In Fairfield County
A woman received minor injuries after falling between an MTA train and the platform in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Stamford around 8:10 pm., Tuesday, July 5 at the Springdale Train Station. Upon realizing what happened, the Metro-North conductor and engineer quickly de-energized and secured the train in order to allow for safe patient access to first arriving first responders, said Tom Gloersen, of the Stamford Fire Department. IDs Released For Two Killed In Boating Accident Off Fairfield County Coast
State officials have released the identities of two men killed in a boating accident off the coast of Fairfield County. The men have been identified as Cristofer Cifuentes, age 26, and Ludyn Cifuentes, age 41, both of New York City, said Will Healy, spokesman for the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The men were found with two other boaters who were pulled from the cold waters of Long Island Sound off of West Beach in Stamford, following a boating accident on Sunday, April 17, Healy said. Second Man Dies After Four Boaters Pulled From Waters Off Fairfield County Coast
A second man has died after four boaters were pulled from the cold waters of the Long Island Sound on Easter morning. "We are saddened to report one additional fatality from this morning’s water rescue on the Long Island Sound," the Stamford Fire Department announced Sunday afternoon, April 17. Two others remain in critical, but stable condition. Danbury Man Dies After Kayak Capsizes On Long Island Sound In Stamford
A man who was rescued along with his wife after their kayak capsized on the Long Island Sound has died after being hospitalized. The unidentified man is a Danbury resident in his 20s, according to the Stamford Police. The incident occurred around noon on Sunday, April 26 in the area of 160 Wallacks Drive, said the Stamford Fire Department Deputy Chief Eric Lorenz.
