Work on a $3 million engineering study focused on improving the safety and infrastructure of a major main route in Northern Westchester has begun, state officials said. Road Rage: Suspects Point Gun At Driver, Then Crash In Northern Westchester, Police Say
Two suspects will be prosecuted by federal officials after allegedly pointing a gun at another driver at a stop light and then fleeing police before crashing in Northern Westchester. The road rage incident started on Monday, Feb. 20 around 10:30 a.m. in Yonkers, when two drivers stopped at a traffic light on Lawrence Street exchanged words, which then escalated into the passenger of one of the cars pointing a gun at the driver of the second vehicle. Serious Crash Expected To Cause Hours-Long Northern Westchester Road Closure
A serious crash is expected to cause an hours-long road closure in Northern Westchester. The crash happened late Friday morning, June 3 in the hamlet of Hawthorne on Route 9A at Skyline Drive. Town of Mount Pleasant Police said motorists should expect the road to be closed in that area up to 3 p.m. Friday. Details on the crash have not yet been released. Weeks-Long Saw Mill Parkway Periodic Closures Scheduled
There will be overnight lane and periodic road closures on the Saw Mill River Parkway for several weeks in Westchester. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that there will be closures on the parkway between exit 13 (Farragut Avenue) in Hastings-on-Hudson to exit 17 (Ashford Avenue) in Dobbs Ferry. There will be lane closures on two busy Westchester highways as contracting crews perform maintenance work and repairs. The New York State Department of Transportation announced lane closures planned for the Taconic State Parkway for pavement repairs and on 100C for construction activity in Mount Pleasant. Travel advisories have been issued for motorists planning to hit the road in Westchester County this weekend. The New York State Department of Transportation announced lane closures scheduled for Route 9A in Mount Pleasant and on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Elmsford to allow crews to perform maintenance work in the area.
