A 22-year-old faces criminal charges after they were caught traveling at high speed during an alleged street race on a busy Hudson Valley road, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18, when a Carmel Police officer saw an apparent street race occurring at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road, the department said on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Road Closure: Crash Shuts Down Part Of Busy Route In Hudson Valley
A crash has caused part of a busy Hudson Valley roadway to shut down to traffic. Part of Route 52 in Putnam County between Route 6 and Vink Drive in the town of Carmel is currently closed, according to reports. 3-Car Collision Leaves Person Injured, Slows Traffic On Busy Hudson Valley Road
A crash involving three vehicles left a person injured and clogged traffic on a busy Hudson Valley road. On Wednesday, Dec. 21, around 3:15 p.m., first responders in Putnam County were sent to Route 6 near the Park Ford dealership for a three-car collision, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Upon arriving, police started directing traffic while emergency responders tended to those involved in the accident, members of the department said. Route 6 Stop In Putnam Leads To DWI Charge For Man, 35
A Danbury man driving with a suspended license and several empty beer bottles in his backseat was busted for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Putnam County. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on June 2, a Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in Southeast stopped 35-year-old Carlos Agosto-Mendez on Route 6 for various vehicle and traffic violations between Argone Road and Starr Ridge Road. During the stop, the deputy reported that Agosto-Mendez appeared to be intoxicated, and he proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
