$6.5M To Go Toward Repaving Stretch Of Busy Main Route In Northern Westchester State officials have revealed that an extensive repaving project will soon improve conditions on a busy stretch of a main route in Northern Westchester.  In an announcement on Friday, May 10, New York State Sen. Pete Harckham and Assemblymember Chris Burdick revealed a $6.5 million resurfacing and paving project has started on a stretch of Route 35. The crash, reported at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, happened northbound just south of Exit 4 (Route 172) in Bedford. Both the left and center lanes were blocked before all three lanes closed. Route 22 Stretch In Bedford Remains Closed After Crash This story has been updated. A stretch of Route 22 in Bedford remains closed after a crash involving a dump truck. Bedford Police said the crash occurred just before 10 a.m. Friday on Route 22 at Bedford Center Road.  The closure is between Bedford Center Road and Clinton Road and had been expected to last until about 1 p.m., but the road remains closed at 1:30 p.m. Police did not have information regarding injuries.  This is a developing story.
