Two alleged members of the Westchester “Goonies” street gang will spend decades in prison for their roles in a 2014 revenge murder over a stolen vehicle, federal officials announced. Raheem “Trigga” Jones was sentenced to 25 years, and Markel “Kellz” Overton was sentenced to 20 years in prison for participating in the 2014 murder of Dean Daniels in Mount Vernon and their participation in other violent incidents in furtherance of their gang. Man Charged In Westchester Robbery Admits To Role In US Capitol Riot
A Hudson Valley man who was implicated in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the US Capitol admitted to his role at the riot in Washington, DC. In June 2021, Anthony Vuksanaj, a Putnam County resident, was arrested in Westchester for his role in a robbery, which led investigators to his cellphone, which was present during the Jan. 6 riot, according to court records. The 52-year-old was later arrested by federal officials in his Mahopac home in the town of Carmel in September 2021. Four men are facing hate crime charges after police said they robbed a home in the Hudson Valley and targeted the victims based on their race. Troopers responded to a report of a possible robbery at a home on Market Street in the Dutchess County town of Dover at about 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, according to New York State Police. Two men have been arrested in connection with an alleged armed home invasion robbery. Police are asking the public for help as they search for a suspect in a robbery that took place at a service area on the New York State Thruway. New York State Police are searching for a 22-year-old man who is wanted on multiple felony charges. Two warrants were issued for the arrest of Deven Hotaling, who is from the Columbia County village of Philmont, after he failed to appear for court dates, State Police reported on Monday, Oct. 4.
