Yorktown Water Main Break Affects Large Portion Of Yorktown Residents in Yorktown received an early, and unwanted, early Christmas-time surprise on Monday morning. The Yorktown Police Department released an alert at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve, cautioning that the Water Department is attempting to locate a water main break in town. Police said that the break has “affected a large portion of Yorktown,” it was unclear how many local residents were impacted.
