Double Homicide Suspect Found Dead In Hudson Valley The suspected killer of a man and a woman in New Milford, Conn., was found dead in his car of an apparent self-inflicted wound about 15 miles away in Dutchess County late Thursday morning. The two were found dead in a truck with a smashed driver’s side window at approximately 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of routes 7 and 55 in New Milford. Officers were dispatched to a Pleasant View Road residence at approximately 1:30 p.m. on March 14, where there was a complaint from the homeowner, who said that the mail had been removed from the mailbox unlawfully. A surveillance photo released by police shows three male suspects who are in what appears to be a newer model white Honda Accord with a New York State registration. Police began receiving calls shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday night regarding the post, which stated “…I heard they are suppose to shoot up both dover and new milford high school tomorrow at 12,” prompting an investigation with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police. Man Steals Handgun, Other Items In Dover Burglary, Police Say A lengthy investigation by state police has led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man who allegedly stole several items, including a handgun, from a Dutchess County home last year. In August last year, state police troopers launched an investigation into the burglary of a Weil Road residence in Dover, when two metal detectors, a Husqvarna chainsaw and Ruger .357 handgun were all reported stolen.
