Orange County resident Arturo Cuacuas, age 54, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Feb. 2, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

An Army soldier has been charged with multiple violations, including involuntary manslaughter, in connection with a June training vehicle rollover crash that killed a West Point cadet and injured several others.
Staff Sgt. Ladonies P. Teen Driver Charged In Man’s Death On I-84
A Sandy Hook teen has been arrested in the death of a pedestrian on I-84 last May, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Michael Alan Vitti, 19, was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the proper lane and distracted driving (not a cellphone), according to state police.
Vitti, who state police say was distracted while driving, hit and killed Gerard Mauskapf, 64, of Red Hook in Dutchess County near Exit 11.
