Hudson Valley Man Seriously Injured In Crash A Hudson Valley man was seriously injured during a single-vehicle rollover crash. The collision occurred in Orange County around 8:20 p.m., Sunday, March 24, on Shoddy Hollow Road in the town of Mount Hope. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police, upon arrival, troopers found a grey 2005 Acura sedan rolled over with one person in the driver’s seat.  The driver later identified as Wade A. Hudson Valley Man Commits Suicide As Officers Attempt To Stop Him, Police Say A Hudson Valley man shot himself in the head while state police worked to prevent him from doing so. The incident took place in Orange County around 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the town of Mount Hope. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Orange County 911 dispatched the state police and the Town of Mount Hope Police for a reported potential suicide.  The caller said they heard a gun go off and believed that a man had shot himself, Nevel said. Woman Found Dead In Hudson Valley Apartment After Fire Police are investigating an apartment fire that killed a 56-year-old woman in the Hudson Valley. Troopers in Orange County responded to a building fire on Robbins Road in Mount Hope at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, New York State Police. Suspects On Loose After Home Invasion In Area Suspects are on the loose following a home invasion in the area. It happened in Orange County on Thursday, Nov. 14 at approximately 7 p.m. on Hill Road in the town of Mount Hope, state police said. An early investigation revealed that unknown persons entered a residence without the homeowners' permission and left with an unknown amount of currency.  An ongoing investigation by New York State Police in Middletown along with the Mount Hope Police Department has been launched.
