A Long Island native is looking to make history as he attempts to become the first Orthodox Jewish ballplayer to make it to the Show after being chosen in the third round of the MLB Draft. A former Hudson Valley high school baseball standout who played collegiately in Fairfield County is ready to get called up to The Show. Kingston High School graduate Zack Short was protected by the Chicago Cubs this week, being added to the team's elite 40-man roster.
