Two 13-year-old Hudson Valley teens were charged with allegedly setting fire to a large pavilion at a popular park. The incident occurred in Ulster County at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at the large pavilion at the Cantine Memorial Field Complex in Saugerties. According to the Saugerties Police, the Malden-West Camp Fire Department and the Saugerties Police Department responded to a reported structure fire in the complex. Man Accused Of Setting Fiancé's House On Fire In Hudson Valley
A man from the region has been charged with allegedly intentionally setting his fiancé's home on fire. The fire took place in Ulster County around 1:45 a.m., on Saturday, June 22 in Saugerties. When Saugerties police officers and firefighters from the Saxton Fire District arrived on the scene they found a single-family home engulfed by fire, said Chief Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police. One Killed In Crash Involving School Bus In Hudson Valley
One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash between a school bus and a dump truck in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14 in Ulster County, on Route 9W in the town of Saugerties. The driver of the dump truck suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. Woman With History Of Crack Possession Rolls Over Vehicle On Drugs, Police Say
An area woman who managed to extricate herself from her rolled-over car after an accident was charged by police for driving under the influence of drugs. According to Saugerties Police, a 911 caller reported that a vehicle had rolled over, trapping its driver inside, on Lauren Tice Road at approximately 12:27 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
