Threat Leads To Lockout At School District In Westchester
A Westchester County school district was temporarily locked down after a purported anonymous threat was posted on social media seemingly targeting an area building. In Westchester, the Harrison School District put emergency protocols in place early on Monday, Nov. 8 for all school buildings after there was a threat made targeting the high school. Poughkeepsie High School was placed on lockdown after a loaded handgun was found inside a student's backpack, police said. The incident took place around 7:48 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, when an attentive school security official at the Poughkeepsie High School discovered a student attempting to enter the school with a loaded handgun in a backpack, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. School In Northern Westchester Goes Into Lockdown After Student Reports Seeing Man With Gun
A middle school in Northern Westchester was placed in lockdown after a student reported seeing a man with a gun. On Friday, April 12 at approximately 12:25 p.m., the New Castle Police Department said it was notified by Chappaqua Central School District Administration that a student reported seeing the armed man in the school.
