4-Month-Old Injured After Woman Crashes Into Tree In Hudson Valley
A 4-month-old girl sustained life-threatening injuries, and two others were seriously injured after the car they were in left the roadway and struck a tree head-on in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, on Libertyville Road in the town of New Paltz. A popular Hudson Valley pool has closed for the rest of the season due to ongoing water loss issues that will require major construction work to repair. The Ulster County Pool, located at 241 Libertyville Road in New Paltz, is closed as engineers assess the water loss, the Ulster County Department of Public Works said. A pair of new mass COVID-19 vaccination sites are now accepting appointments in the Hudson Valley as New York continues to receive additional allocations of the vaccine from the federal government. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that as of Wednesday, March 17 sites are now booking appointments at SUNY Orange and the Ulster Fairgrounds in New Paltz. Man Killed After Being Dragged By Tractor-Trailer Down Main Street In Area
A pedestrian was dragged to death after climbing under a tractor-trailer in the Hudson Valley. The New Paltz Police Department received a report of an accident involving a pedestrian shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 near the area of the Wallkill Bridge. Upon arrival, responding officers found the pedestrian dead in the road after being dragged down Main Street under the tractor-trailer, which continued onto Route 299.
