Some New York lawmakers and the Legal Aid Society are calling for last-minute legislation that would legalize marijuana as the state deals with a multi-billion dollar budget shortfall due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Nearly two dozen New Rochelle High School students could be seen standing in a circle watching two others fight earlier this week in the latest instance of violence involving a group of teenagers. Video released by Talk of the Sound shows two students fighting near the intersection of Chauncey Avenue and Clove Road, with at least 20 other students standing around, shouting and cheering on the violence before police arrived on Wednesday afternoon. New Rochelle Police Captain Offers Update On Student Stabbing Incidents
The New Rochelle Police Department offered updates to the public regarding their investigations into three violent incidents at the high school that left a teenager with a fatal stab wound. The manhunt for a teenage suspect who stabbed a fellow student in the torso on Jan. 18 continues, as the suspect remains elusive, New Rochelle Police Capt.
