Town Seeks Federal Help After Severe Flood Damage In Northern Westchester
Officials in a Northern Westchester town are seeking federal funds to help recover from severe flooding that left numerous public roads and facilities damaged. In a resolution adopted on Tuesday, July 25, the Yorktown Town Board officially asked President Joe Biden to approve a disaster declaration for parts of Westchester County that were affected by severe flooding during a storm on Sunday, July 9. Additional relief is coming for area victims of Tropical Depression Ida following a disaster declaration due to the damage caused by the storm. New York Gov.
