23-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Hudson Valley Crash A Hudson Valley man who was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan was killed in a single-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of Wappinger, at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, on All Angels Hill Road near Dugan Lane.  According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Infiniti sedan with five occupants was traveling southbound on All Angels Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Weatherwax, age 22, of Wappinger, was killed around 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4,  in a two-vehicle crash in the town of Wappinger, said Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Two-Alarm Wappingers Falls Fire Heavily Damages Home A home in the Village of Wappingers Falls was devastated by a two-alarm fire, according to fire officials. The fire, which started around 9:27 a.m. at 21 N. Gilmore Blvd., moved quickly but was extinguished by 10 a.m. by members of the Wappingers Falls, Hughsonville, New Hackensack fire departments.  Red Cross officials have been called to the home to assist displaced residents. No one was injured.

Wappingers Falls Three-Alarm Fire Destroys Home Numerous fire departments are on the scene of a three-alarm blaze at a two-and-half story home in Wappingers Falls that has caused extensive damage.  According to officials, the fire started around 2:30 p.m. at 60 Huber Road in Chelsea and quickly spread to a three-alarm blaze.  Chelsea Fire District, Castle Point, Glenham, City Of Beacon, Hughsonville and Village of Fishkill FAST Team are on the scene.  There are no reports of any injuries. Three Severely Burned, Dog KIlled In Beacon House Fire Three people received severe burns after running down a staircase through fire, and another jumped from a second-story window in an effort to escape flames ripping through their home. According to City of Beacon Fire Chief Gary VanVoorhis, the fire department received a 911 call regarding a house fire around 4:45 a.m. at 98 Rombout Ave., with occupants trapped inside.
