Carmel Man Stole Lawn Mower, Air Conditioner From Home Depot, Sheriff Says A 70-year-old man was caught red-handed attempting to steal a lawnmower and air-conditioning unit from Home Depot in Southeast, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to Home Depot on Independence Way at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Monday, July 8, where there was a report of an attempted larceny. Upon arrival, the deputy found the suspect, Carmel resident Mark Vujevic, in the loss prevention office at the store. On Oct. 16, 2018, the man allegedly tried to leave the Home Depot at 3051 E. Main St. in Cortlandt with unpaid for merchandise, according to New York State Police in Cortlandt. The individuals in the photos above are suspected of stealing merchandise from the Home Depot in Mohegan Lake in late February, and then leaving the area in a white Dodge Caravan minivan.
