Robert Murdock, Town Employee In Hudson Valley For 30 Years, Dies At 57
Robert Murdock Jr., who worked as a town employee in the Hudson Valley for 30 years, has died at the age of 57. The lifelong Rockland County resident was born in Suffern and was a graduate of Ramapo Senior High School. According to his obituary, Murdock worked as an assistant general foreman for the Town of Ramapo Highway Department. He began working as a town employee in 1991. Officers Race In To Help Rescue Two Children After House Fire Breaks Out In Area
Three police officers in the Hudson Valley are being hailed as heroes for helping to rescue two children after a house fire broke out. It happened in North Rockland on Saturday morning, March 13. When officers arrived at the scene in Stony Point, the house was fully engulfed in flames. As firefighters went to work, the officers swooped in and pulled two children to safety. Woman With Child In Car Accused Of Driving While Impaired By Drugs After Head-On Crash
A woman accused of driving while impaired by drugs and her child were rushed to Westchester Medical Center after a head-on crash with a van. in Rockland County It happened on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at about 10 a.m. in Ramapo on Route 45 and Windsor Circle, police said. The van's occupants were transported to Nyack Hospital with minor injuries, according to police. Man Dies After Being Pulled From Pomona Fire
A man died early Wednesday after a fire ripped through his Pomona home. The fire was reported around 3:03 a.m. at 286 Quaker Road, according to Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1. When firefighters arrived on scene flames were spreading outside the back of the one-story house to the roof. They were also informed by neighbors there was a possibility of an occupant still in the home, the department said. Firefighters searched the home and found a 63-year-old man inside a bedroom.
