MRI Malfunction Causes Smoke To Pour Out Of Medical Building In Northern Westchester
A malfunctioning MRI machine prompted an emergency response when it caused smoke to pour out from the roof of a medical building in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Tuesday, July 11, when firefighters rushed to a medical building at 19 Bradhurst Ave. in Hawthorne to respond to a reported explosion. According to the Valhalla Fire Department, the first crews to arrive found smoke coming from the north side of the building. Did you see anything? A suspect in a hit-and-run crash that occurred during the evening commute on the Taconic State Parkway is at large and state police are asking for the public's help in the investigation. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 20 at approximately 4:40 p.m., when the black Honda Pilot pictured above was rear-ended on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown by a vehicle that then left the scene. Beloved Hawthorne Restaurant Gordo's Closes After 40 Years In Business
A beloved restaurant has closed its doors after nearly 40 years in business. Owners Michael and Lisa Schliman of Gordo's in Hawthorne held a farewell party over the weekend that brought hundreds to the Commerce Street eatery -- one last time.
