Man Sentenced For Fatally Stabbing Shopper At Supermarket In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for stabbing a random man who was shopping to death at a ShopRite supermarket in 2016.
Orange County resident Andrew Goodenough, age 41, of New Windsor, was sentenced on Monday, March 28 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in February.
At the time that he pleaded guilty, Goodenough admitted that on Saturday, June 11, 2016, he stabbed Michael Kohus, age 35, of Highland Falls in the neck while he was shopping at a supermarket in the Town of New Windsor, the DA's Office said.

Online Tip Leads To Child Porn Arrest In Area
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with two counts of promotion of a sexual performance by a child less than 17 and other charges after police received a cyber tip.
Orange County resident Gregory Liston, age 37, of Newburgh, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 21, after New York State Police initiated an investigation after receiving the tip, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, the investigation conducted by the Computer Crimes Unit, BCI, and the Orange County Child Abuse Unit, revealed that Liston was in possession of child pornography.

Investigation Underway After Fatal White Plains Shooting
Police are investigating after a Westchester County resident was found dead on New Year's Eve.
Shawn Jefferson, age 49, of White Plains, was fatally shot just before midnight on New Year's Eve on North Kensico Avenue, said Capt. Jim Spencer, of the White Plains Police.
According to Spencer, officers found Jefferson after responding to reports of shots fired.
Jefferson, who lives across the street from where he was found, died at White Plains Hospital around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, police said.
