The incident occurred in Rockland County at an unnamed grocery store on Wednesday, July 24, in Clarkstown. According to Det. Know Him? Police Seek To ID Man Who Made Large Purchases With Stolen Credit Card Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly made large purchases using a stolen credit card. The card was stolen from a resident in Newtown and used it to buy items and spending more than $5,000, Newtown Police said. The card was used Best Buy, the Apple Store, and Starbucks, all in Danbury, police said. The male is described as being Hispanic, and 50 to 60 years old. Members of the Danbury Police Department were dispatched to Ryders Lane at approximately 7:35 a.m. on Thursday morning, where there was a report of two men attempting to enter parked cars in the area. Officers were able to eventually track down two 17-year-old suspects, who were taken into custody.
