ID Released For Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash
The identity's been released of a man killed in a crash on Friday afternoon, Jan. 20 on a Hudson Valley roadway. It involved two vehicles, a Hyundai Elantra which was in the middle of Route 304 in New City, and a Toyota Highlander which had traveled into the wooded area adjacent to the northbound lanes of the highway around midday Friday, according to Clarkstown Police Department Detective Norm Peters. New Update: Hudson Valley Elementary School Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat
This story has been updated. A Hudson Valley elementary school was evacuated due to a bomb threat. The incident took place in Rockland County on Thursday, Dec. 15 at New City Elementary School in New City. According to Det. Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police, school staff told police that a caller stated there a bomb in the school. The phone call abruptly ended and the Clarkstown Police Department was notified. Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway
A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle along a busy Hudson Valley roadway. The incident took place in Rockland County around 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 in West Nyack. According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police, a man was struck by a vehicle in the area of 116 N. Route 303. The first arriving officers found the man lying on the right shoulder of northbound Rt. 303, Peters said. Firefighter Injured During Hudson Valley House Fire
A firefighter received burns and suffered from smoke inhalation while battling an area house fire. The fire took place in Rockland County around 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, at 460 Storms Road in Valley Cottage. According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police Department, said responding officers observed a heavy smoke condition coming from the basement and confirmed with the homeowner that the house was unoccupied. ID Released For Woman Killed In Hit-Run Hudson Valley Crash
The identity has been released of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in the area as police seek any possible witnesses. It happened around 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 in Rockland County, in the area of Route 9W and Rockland Lake North in Clarkstown. The preliminary investigation has revealed that a 40-year-old woman was walking alongside the southbound lanes of Route 9W when she was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene, Clarkstown Police said.
