Barnes & Noble Returning To Westchester Town After 11-Year Absence
Good news book lovers. Barnes & Noble is returning to a busy Westchester town after leaving in 2012. According to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, residents were disappointed and missed the beloved bookstore on Central Avene in Hartsdale, a hamlet of Greenburgh. Feiner said the company has signed a lease at the Dalewood Shopping Center in the 12,490-square-foot space, formerly occupied by Mrs. Green's Market. ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By BMW In Westchester
The woman killed late Friday afternoon after being struck by a BMW in Hartsdale has been identified. The crash occurred in front of Petco at 324 Central Ave. in Hartsdale between Dalewood Road and Battle Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said. Police officers came upon the unresponsive woman lying in the roadway of the northbound lane. One lucky Westchester man is $10 million richer after purchasing a scratch-off lottery ticket. The man will be identified at 1 p.m. Friday when he picks up his giant check from the New York Lottery’s Yolanda Vega at the store where he purchased his ticket, lottery officials said. The Westchester County resident won his prize on a $10,000 a Week for Life scratch-off ticket that he purchased at A-Plus on Central Avenue in Hartsdale. The lucky guy opted to take the full pay-out of $10 million.
