Mahopac House Fire Extinguished Within 20 Minutes
A Mahopac Falls home located in the Ossi Club section of town received heavy damage after a fire that was extinguished within 20 minutes. The fire began just after 8 p.m., Monday, July 22, in the two-story, wood-frame home. said Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Public Information Officer Jack Casey. Arriving firefighters found a large volume of smoke pushing from the attic, calling for a full response from the "Ant Hill Mob," the department said. One Hospitalized In Route 6 Crash Between Car, Truck
A crash between a car and a truck on Route 6 in Mahopac sent one person to the hospital. The crash took place around noon, Wednesday, July 17, on Route 6 near Lupi Court, causing police to close one lane of the highway, said Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Mahopac Fire, EMS and Fire responded, along with an ambulance, which transported one patient to Putnam Hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Carmel Police.

Driver Hospitalized In Serious, Single-Car Mahopac Crash
A motorist was hospitalized after a serious single-car crash in Mahopac. Emergency responders rushed to the scene of the crash on West Lake Boulevard at around 8:15 p.m. Friday, May 17. A motorcyclist was hospitalized after crashing near a grocery store in the area on Sunday morning, April 7. The crash occurred in the area in front of Red Mills Market on Route 6N in Mahopac Falls. Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police, along with multiple units from Carmel Police and Paramedics from EMStar, arrived within minutes of the dispatch, authorities said. One Hospitalized In Two-Car Crash On Route 6N
One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Route 6N in Mahopac Falls. The crash took place Friday, March 22, at Route 6N and Hill Street, said Jack Casey, spokesman for the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Carmel Police units were on the scene as fire units arrived. EMS began triage as fire police took over traffic, freeing up CPD to investigate the crash, Casey said. One person was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. As the vehicles were cleared from the roadway, fire police assisted with traffic.

A raging fire gutted a Mahopac home on Monday as fire crews from several departments worked to extinguish the blaze. Car Slams Into Store At Mahopac Village Shopping Centre
A driver hit the gas instead of the brake and slammed into the front of the Rite Aid pharmacy in Mahopac, closing the business, according to Carmel Police. The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Mahopac Village Shopping Centre on Route 6 in Mahopac, police said. This story has been updated. Heavy smoke at a popular Mahopac restaurant prompted a quick fire department response early Sunday morning, allowing the eatery to open as planned for Father's Day.
