Winning Take-5 Ticket Sold At Supermarket In Westchester
Two prize-winning lottery tickets valued at more than $18,000 were sold at stores in the Hudson Valley.
The two separate $18,232.50 Take-5 tickets were sold at stores in Westchester County, in Harrison, and in Putnam County, in Carmel, New York Lottery announced on Tuesday evening, Oct. 18.
NY Lottery said the ticket in Harrison was purchased at Wegmans, located at 106 Corporate Park Drive, and that the ticket in Carmel was purchased at Kent Liquors, located at 1100 Route 52.
The winning numbers were 7-11-28-35-39.

Colleagues and loved ones are mourning the loss of a beloved Hudson Valley plumber and father of 5 who died unexpectedly.
Putnam County resident Peter Brophy, of Lake Carmel, died Sunday, Aug. 14, at the age of 38, according to his obituary.
Born in Carmel on Nov. 16, 1983 to parents James and Kathleen, Brophy was known as a devoted father to his five children, reads his memorial.
“He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, especially with his children,” his obituary said. “He loved to cook and he enjoyed cooking for family and friends.”

A lifelong Hudson Valley resident who died at the age of 31 is being remembered for his ability to make others laugh.
Dutchess County native Timothy Flynn, of Hopewell Junction, died Monday, July 25, according to his obituary. A cause of death was not listed.
Born in Carmel to parents Dennis and Anna, Flynn grew up in Hopewell Junction and enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, his memorial said.
He could often be found hiking, fishing, biking, and taking long walks in the woods, appreciating nature.
Flynn worked as a mechanic for Lamothermic Corp., based in Brewster, his obituary said.…
Man Accused Of Stealing $131K Through Fake Account, Making Purchases Throughout Hudson Valley
A 24-year-old man has been accused of stealing more than $130,000 through a fraudulent account and making purchases throughout the Hudson Valley.
Putnam County Yariel Villegas, age 24, of Carmel, has been charged with first-degree identity theft and second-degree grand larceny following an investigation, state police announced on Thursday, June 30.
On Oct. 7, 2021, State Police Kingston were notified by the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union for a larceny of approximately $131,206.51.
Troopers began an extensive investigation that led them to Villegas.

Popular Business Owner In Hudson Valley Dies At Age 55
A lifetime Hudson Valley resident and owner of a local business has died at the age of 55.
Putnam County resident William Henry Jr. died on Wednesday, June 15, according to his obituary.
Henry was born in Carmel and was a lifelong resident of Brewster.
He graduated from Brewster High School and went on to work at Raichle in Brewster, his obituary said.
Henry later opened Bill Henry Tree Service Inc., serving Northern Westchester, Dutchess, and Putnam counties for more than 30 years, his obituary said.
