4 Injured In Hudson Valley 2-Vehicle Crash
Four people were injured during a serious two-vehicle crash in the region. The collision took place in Dutchess County on Route 9G at the intersection of North Cross Road in the town of Hyde Park around 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 18. According to the Roosevelt Fire District Chief Jeffrey Scala, firefighters and EMS responded to the crash with reports of ejections and people trapped in vehicles. A 68-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash when a box truck allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash took place in Orange County around 9:40 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7 on Route 300 in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt. Peter Talarico of the town of Newburgh Police, an investigation shows a 2019 Ford box truck was northbound on Route 300, approaching a curve in the roadway when it appears to have crossed onto the southbound lane and struck a 2019 Dodge Ram. One person was injured when a car allegedly swerved into the path of a school bus in the region, hitting it head-on. The crash occurred in Sullivan County around 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 5 in the town of Thompson in the vicinity of 907 Old Liberty Road. A driver was injured after crashing into an embankment alongside a busy Northern Westchester road. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 19 just before 7 p.m., when a vehicle crashed into an embankment next to Route 100 in Millwood, according to the Millwood Fire Department.
