Third Family Member Dies Following Drowning Incident In Region A third family member has died following a drowning incident in the region. Nasrin Amin, age 21, died Saturday, Sept. 10 at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Nasrin was with her brother and uncle at a vacation rental home on White Lake in the town of Bethel when the incident took place around 2:15 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 28. The incident took place around 2:15 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 28 in Sullivan County. The Danbury 911 center received multiple calls stating that a large amount of smoke was billowing from the Marcello's Deli and Catering near Lake Avenue and Hobson Street late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 14. Driver Hospitalized After Car Slams Into Pole In Danbury A driver who had to be extricated from a vehicle after slamming into a power pole in Danbury was injured in the crash. The crash occurred around 11:18 p.m. Thursday on Town Hill Avenue near Clark Street after the driver lost control and hit the pole, said James Gagliardo, of the Danbury Fire Department.
