Mahopac Woman Charged With Dwai Attempts To Flee From Officers In Yorktown, Police Say A an area woman has been charged with DWAI after police say she tried to flee from officers in Northern Westchester. Yorktown Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Route 6 after observing a speeding driver who was failing to maintain their lane on Wednesday, Sept. 11 around 10 p.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Amanda Darrigo, 33, of Mahopac, was driving while her ability was impaired, police say.
