Putnam County Executive Candidates To Clash In Debates

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Putnam County residents can expect to see a flood of debates in the coming weeks as MaryEllen Odell and Sam Oliverio match up while campaigning for the county executive seat, reports The Examiner.

Three debates are coming up featuring the incumbent, Republican Odell, and the Democrat Oliverio as her challenger. Oliverio has confirmed at least three debates and said he’s looking at the possibility of a few more on the west side of Putnam County. Odell said she has received all invitations for debates and would have to schedule around county budget meetings, as that is her first priority, according to the report.
