Likely women voters prefer Cuomo over Astorino by 32 percentage points, according to the poll. The incumbent's lead over Astorino is much narrower among men, with Cuomo leading 44-39 percent.

Overall, Cuomo holds a 51-31 percent lead over Astorino.

"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo got a head start on the Quinnipiac University poll with his weekend campaign bus ride touting women's issues," Maurice Carroll, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement. "A monster lead among women voters powers him past Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino."

With just four weeks before Election Day, 68 percent of likely voters say they have made up their mind with only 29 percent saying that their stance might change, according to Quinnipiac.
