Cahill Gets Newsday Endorsement For Attorney General

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Yonkers native and Republican attorney general hopeful John Cahill was endorsed by Newsday on Friday, Oct. 17.

Newsday cited Cahill's ambitious agenda, aggressive management style and applauded him for his work while serving as former Gov. George Pataki's commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation and chief of staff. 

Newsday said incumbent Eric T. Schneiderman's tenure lacks the sort of cornerstone accomplishments that New Yorkers have come to expect thanks to previous state attorney generals like Eliot Spitzer and current Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
