Sheriff: Woman Who Committed Several Traffic Violations Was Driving Drunk In Southeast

A woman from Danbury was busted for allegedly driving drunk and swerving across a busy Putnam County roadway, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Monday, July 1 spotted a vehicle commit several vehicle and traffic violations on Route 22 in Southeast prompting a traffic stop.

During the subsequent stop, the driver - Paloma Domenico, 37 - had alcohol on her breath and vomit both on herself and inside her vehicle, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Domenico was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was also cited for speeding, vehicle and traffic violations. Following her arraignment, Domenico was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Court at a later date to answer the charges.
