Resident Injured In Carmel Apartment Fire

CARMEL, N.Y. -- A Carmel woman was hospitalized after suffering smoke inhalation during a fire on Wednesday, according to LoHud.com.

Residents in the multi-family house were able to douse the flames before firefighters arrived on the scene, LoHud.com said.

All 12 residents were displaced but were later allowed to return. The smoke inhalation victim was taken to Putnam Hospital Center to be treated, LoHud.com reported.
