An investigator assigned to the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that a Danbury man was selling pills in the Putnam Lake area of the Town of Patterson in late summer 2015, police report.

The investigator made contact with the individual, and made arrangements to purchase Roxycodone pills on several occasions over the ensuing months, according to officials.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Hillman, was arrested on March 30, and charged with two counts each of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, according to officials.

The defendant was arraigned before Town of Carmel Justice Joseph Spofford on behalf of the Town of Patterson, and released in his own recognizance pending a future court appearance, officials report.

If found guilty of the felony charges, the defendant could face up to 25 years in a New York State correctional facility and a fine of up to $30,000 for each charge.
