Patterson Man Had Sexual Contact With Child, Police Say

A 61-year-old area man is behind bars after he had sexual conduct with a child less than 13 years old multiple times, State Police from the Brewster barracks said on Tuesday.

Possible sexual abuse was reported to state police in August of 2017. involving Anthony Marino of Patterson and a child less than 13 years of age. An investigation determined that Marino had engaged in sexual conduct with a child multiple times in the town of Patterson, police said.

Marino was charged on Friday, Feb. 16 with sexual conduct with a child in the first degree, a Class B felony, sexual misconduct, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, all Class A misdemeanors.

Marino was arraigned before the Town of Patterson Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
